Evolution of a Wicked Metal Jacket iPhone 4 & 4s Case
Cases start out from a small solid block of billet aluminum cut to length before it enters the CNC Mill where it is machined into solid backed, drilled and tapped versions of the case. From there cases are loaded into the water jet cutter and designs, such as the Hot Rod and Heartbreaker, and fronts of the cases are blasted out. Following the cutting of the designs and fronts, cases are inspected to insure fitment and structural integrity. Inspections lead to the cases being ready to go out for polish, then plating or anodized finishing. Our finishes include, but are not limited to, Chrome, Black Chrome, Gold, Nickel Brushed, Yellow/Red/Black anodized fade, Red/Black anodized fade, and Pink anodized. After plating and finishing WMJ’s return to the shop for final inspections and packaging where each case is fully assembled with 4 screws (2 in front, 2 in back) and slipped into the retail packaging along with a screwdriver for consumer assembly and screen/antenna protectors. Cases are then ready for purchasing by distributors and customers worldwide.
